Originally called Knowvera, Ticker Tocker spent nearly a decade and more than 8-figures developing a series of patented trading products whose limited adoption was constrained to windows computers and mostly institutional clients with marketing that never quite caught on. Without a web enabled product and lacking integration between their various products, Knowvera risked losing relevance and needed a refresh both to their sales and marketing efforts as well as their product strategy.

Analysis
Eff Creative started their analysis of the Ticker Tocker platform by preparing a full suite of market research and brand strategy documents with deliverables including an online marketing competitive analysis (covering more than 20 competitors), a competitor feature audit (also covering more than 20 competitors), market data provider analysis, feature audits and code reviews of all existing platforms, and an internal feature evaluation, platform infrastructure analysis.
Planning
The next step in the Ticker Tocker relaunch was creating a unified platform strategy and a core strategic vision around which all marketing, design, and engineering would be built around. The plan for the new platform was accompanied by a demographic analysis of which potential users would use the platform, and which product features would appeal to them. These deliverables together led to a creation of more than 150 pages of use case definitions and feature descriptions included within a formal proposal for design and software development that included a scope definition covering both adaptation of the client’s existing technology as well as creation of new features to plug in gaps identified within the planning and analysis stages.

Design
Based on the planning stage, comprehensive wireframes, page designs, and interactive prototypes were created to show how every single page and feature of the platform would behave prior to development. Continuous client feedback allowed for all design deliverables to be taken to a stage where they could be demonstrable for potential platform partners even prior to development being completed.

Development
With the Eff Creative technical project management team leading the way, Eff Creative engineered a multi-platform website and set of native mobile applications through taking a leadership role of managing both the client’s existing engineering team for upgrading existing platform features as well as integrating the Eff Creative engineering experts to develop new features. Hundreds of thousands of new lines of code were added to the client’s existing infrastructure to create a new platform that combined innovative marketplace billing systems, live video broadcasting, new social charting features, a brand new educational forum, and a patented drag and drop trading algorithm creator all in one seamless platform.

Marketing
During the course of design and development, the Eff Creative marketing team acquired pre-release waiting lists of more than 10,000 exclusive signups to specially targeted landing pages to garner a backlog of sign-ups even before launching through a combination of social media management/marketing, SEM (search) marketing, influencer marketing, and PR.

Prior to launch, Eff Creative Group’s executive management team helped Ticker Tocker to acquire and negotiate agreements with multiple institutional clients, brokers, exchanges such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and 3rd party technology platforms prior to launch.

Ticker Tocker is scheduled to disrupt the trading world with an open beta going live in July 2018.
